About

The Curraheen Residents Association has been in existence  since  the estate was built in the 1980’s. The present incarnation started around April 2023 based on the remaining committee from 2012.

Currently the office holders are,

Chairperson: Alice O’Keefe and Secretary/Treasurer: James Little

Committee: Bilge Karaman-Little, Vera Griffin

The initial purpose is to improve community identity and initiate a number improvement projects around the estate

We have been supported financially by some of our local councillors, who we’d like to acknowledge. They are, Joe Lynch, Albert Deasy and Terry Coleman.

The Curraheen Estate is well located on the edge city, adjacent to the countryside, with easy access to both. In recent times, the Murphy Farm area has improved the facilities in the area, and will continue to do so. This has brought many more people into and through the estate.

We are also at the start of the river cycle/walkway into the city which puts us directly on a sustainable transport route into Cork.

We are continually looking for resident inspired projects, which will make living in Curraheen Estate more pleasant.
