Dungarvan Greenway Trip Sept 25
On a dull, drizzly September morning, we had the Greenway more or less to ourselves. First stop was the Signal Box cafe which gave us a warm start to explore the Kilmacthomas viaduct with it views over the town and the famous Flahavan factory. We then headed for what was possibly the highlight of the day, a complete pass through the Ballyvoyle tunnel, 400m long. The seas were by this time quite rough and from inside the minibus we marvelled at the sweep of Clonea Bay. Lunch was conducted at the Railway Cottage, again on the Greenway, where we also met the few cyclist out that day.
